Baby Steps

Well, we are almost at the 1 year 2 months and 2 day mark and Elizabeth is still not walking. Why the 14 month and 2 day mark??? That is when Jeremy walked. I thought FOR SURE Lizzie would walk before her first birthday but she's not. In fact, if we try to help her walk, her little legs bend so she can sit, if we really try by holding her arms up in the air she does a little kick dance. Maybe she's trying to follow in her aunt's footsteps; Radio City, can my baby audition already? Anyhow, this is a video we caught of the princess about 2 weeks ago. This is the most she's walked, EVER! HA, gotta love the binkin and sneakers look!

haha, Jeremy got to eat the first apple off of Grandma's Apple Tree. YUM!!! Looking for some good organic pears so she can make me some Pear Cobbler. That stuff is to die for!!! I will settle for Apple if not (hint hint).

A playdate with 3rd cousins!

Jeremy and Lizzie had a playdate today with their 3rd cousins, Jackson and Cole. These boys are the cutest things ever. They are twins and 18 months old. Jackson is the bigger one, weighing in at about 32lbs (totally reminds me of Jeremy at that age). Cole is the smaller one, he's as tall as Lizzie, or I guess I should say she's as tall as him :).

They had a great day and we were saying how we hope that they get a chance to know each other and stay close throughout their lives. Grandma Ann and Joyce are cousins and have managed to stay very close for ever!!!

Well, the photos you will see below is a result to a grease fire. This is one of Jeremy's rental homes, the nicest of them all (or was), with the best tenants. Luckily, no one was hurt, however the house suffered a lot of damage! Jeremy has hired someone to fix it, hopefully it will be done soon! So please, if you are cooking with grease, please use caution and stay right there, or this could happen to you!

Well, 1 entire year has gone by since my princess was brought into my life. The year went too fast, I feel like I didn't get to hold her enough. The baby stage is gone and will probably never visit my house again and I'm sad.

Lizzie is such a blessing. She makes me smile when I could cry. She loves her brother more then anything, it's amazing to see how close they are already.

At her appointment today she weighed in at 22lbs and was 29" long. She's healthy as can be.

Sorry I haven't updated in.....FOREVER.

I've been so busy that I haven't had a chance to post anything. But in the past few weeks we've had lots of growing pains, fevers, some new teeth and new brusies, lol. These kids are keeping mama busy. Even on our worst day, I wouldn't change it for anything!

Easter

I hope you all enjoyed your Easter this year! I know we did.
The Easter Bunny was very generous this year to little Jer. He brought him a huge basket, Gator Golf AND a Big Wheel. Lizzie got a basket for little gerber treats and some baby toys but Jer really made out. He was ran around with a sugar high all day and had a blast.

I worked for the Stone House's Easter Brunch on Sunday and made out really well! After that we headed over to Gigi's for an egg hunt. Little Jer got to find 60 eggs himself. He was thrilled. Lizzie enjoyed a sucker (until mommy took it from her).

The holidays are so much fun with children!!!

Here is a funny video clip of Jeremy telling me how I need to put his tool bench in the yard sale. When he is abusing his toys (jumping on them, throwing them or coming close to breaking them) I always tell him that I am going to sell them in the Yard Sale. Well since he has managed to put a crack in his tool bench, it is now OK by Jeremy to put it in the yard sale. It's hard not to laugh when he does things like this.

Our first trip the park

Today was our first trip to the park and Lizzie's first ride in the wagon. She had a blast and her big brother did too! The weather is so nice today, so mommy pulled them both in the wagon. What a work-out!!! It was all worth the burning in my legs! Here are a few pics from our fun day!

So for months I've been hearing a lot of crap about why I haven't taken Jeremy and Lizzie for their pictures together. I've also been giving myself guilt about it. But after today, I know why I stalled for so long. It is NOT east to get 2 children to look at the camera amd smile at the same time.

I know I got so behind on my blog, I apologize to all of our loyal followers!

Lizzie is now 10 months old. She's really a great baby! She is starting to make lots of sounds, trying to talk. She's up to mama, dada, and maybe Thank You (thanks to grandma). I'm trying to teach her Jeremy and it sounds like Da Dee. haha. So I'm not quite sure about that yet! She really has much more energy then Jeremy did at this age. I think she's just trying to keep up with him!

Big Jer is recovering from pneumonia. Poor guy, he gets it all the time. He was a saint when lil Jer was in the hospital. He cleaned the house so we didn't have to come home to a mess. He's keeping busy w/ all his real estate.

Besides the Rotavirus, lil Jer is doing great! He's so smart and really loves preschool. It amazes me what he learns. It's fun to watch him, I think he's going to be a smart kid for sure! We had a couple of warm days and he was able to play outside. He had a blast! He'll probably be outside all day/everyday this summer!

I am doing ok. Still wanting to lose 10 more lbs that Lizzie left on my body. Still looking for a job. And still wanting to win the lottery.

I'll try to be better at posting on my blog. Sorry I got so behind!

Wasps!

So our house got invaded by Queen Wasps over the winter. I guess they come in to get out of the cold for the winter and as soon as it starts warming up they come back. Well, they got under the attic floor boards and started dropping out of the a/c vents in the house. We had a little traumatic moment in our house when Lizzie decided to pick on up. It stung her finger and her face 3 times. Mommy was a mess! I rushed her to the ER b/c I wasn't sure if she was allergic or not. Thankfully she was ok, but it took me a week or so to feel safe to let her go on the floor.

We *think* they are all gone. I haven't seen one around for a few days. Hopefully they will not return next winter!

For the life of me I cannot understand why my children can't crawl the right way! First there was Jeremy, you all remember the famous butt scoot, right? Now we have little Lizzie. She pulls one leg forward and drags the other behind. Her poor little leg had rug burn from dragging it! For your entertainment here is a video of her chasing my parenting mag around. And don't mind the mess, I was ebaying :).

Rotavirus

Little Jeremy just got out of the hospital on Thursday.

On Sunday he was playing up a storm, he had a great day! We went to be at about 10:30. At 4:00 am he woke up throwing up. I took him to the bathroom and he had diarrhea pretty bad. I just thought maybe it was a bug. He went back to sleep and didn't wake up until almost 9. Then it was non stop, throwing up and diarrhea. He also said the air in his ears would not go away. I called the doctor, they said to bring him at 2:15. By the time we got there he was lethargic, his lips were the same color of his pale skin. It was scary! The doctor said she was going to admit him. I cried like a baby.

He ended up having Rotavirus. Scary stuff! He lay still and very sick all Monday and all day Tuesday. Wednesday he started sitting up and talking again but still would not eat and still had diarrhea pretty bad. By Thursday he was acting ok but would not eat. I asked them to bring him some mashed potatoes and chicken nuggets up and he ate 3 nuggets and 1/2 of a serving of mashed potatoes w/out throwing up or having diarrhea. They decided to let him come home! Monday we'll go back to the doctor for a follow up.

He's doing great, he ate a little when we got home and is so happy to be back to his sister and toys.

While I was out buying diapers at Walmart the other day the power went off in there. Thankfully their registers worked on generators so I was able to finish my shopping and then they were clearing the store because their security cameras were not working.

So I'm leaving and being a nice person let 2 cars pull out in front of me. As I was getting ready to pull out of the parking lot, BANG, a stupid cart hit my door. I filled out an accident report, but I doubt they will do anything about it. It's a small dent, but it's STILL a dent that wasn't there! I'll update you all and let you know what I hear from them. Here is a picture. It does not show up that well, but it's very noticeable!

Wow, what a Superbowl Game! I am so excited that the Steelers brought a 6 pack home to us!!! And Jennifer Hudson, WOW....she is amazing! What a comeback. She brought tears to my eyes.

The kids really enjoyed all the cheering! And I swear, I love lil Jer just as much as Lizzie but he is camera shy. I cannot get a picture of him to save me. I have to pick my battles and this one is NOT worth it!!!

In other news, Lizzie has her second tooth and she is crawling. I haven't seen it with my own eyes because when I watch her she lays on her belly and cries waiting for me to pick her up. BUT when my back is turned she somehow manages to get across the room to me. So sweet! I'm sure by next week I'll be chasing her around pulling my hair out!

A Peanut Allergy???

No more peanut butter in my house! We discovered today after going to the doctors that Jeremy is allergic to it. I've been saying it since he was probably 18 months old but never knew for sure. After a scare at school last week I decided to take him to the doctors and they confirmed that yes, he does have an allergy to it. One that he will probably never out-grow. Poor kid, growing up w/out peanut butter and jelly will probably be hard. Luckily he does not like peanut butter so we don't have to worry about eating it but it is hidden in lots of things so I worry. Also, his last scare he never even touched the stuff and had a reaction.

We go to an allergists soon where they will give us an epi-pen in case he somehow has another reaction to it.

I know nothing about food allergies so I'll be busy doing lots of research on it. This sucks!!!

Yesterday was my mom's birthday. I didn't have a chance to give a shout out to her! She's excited that she turned 55 because she can now get a senior citizen discount, lol!

Another birthday yesterday was Lizzie's 8 month day! She's doing great. She's getting up on all 4's and rocking and she can go back but hasn't figured out how to crawl forward. Still no teeth, I can see them but they won't pop out!

So today is the day I start my diet. Isn't if funny that the word DIE is in Diet. I feel like I could die already, EWWW!!!

I am almost 8 months postpartum and still have about 15lbs to lose. It's not the weight that's bothering me, it's the fact that my stomach still looks 3-4 months pregnant. I hope that I can make some better choices on what I eat and drink and exercise some more so that I can shed this weight off before August! I can't have my sisters looking better then me forever, lol.

Now if the weather would warm up so I can get outside and walk or ride bikes with the kids things would be much easier. Right now I'm making due with exercising indoors.

Oh, and I've only had 2 cups of coffee today compared to my 4 or 5 I usually have.

Christmas Day

He came!!! Look at all the gifts Santa left for the kids.

I woke up about 8:00 am. I decided to let the kids sleep b/c I knew it would be a long day. At about 9:30 I was pacing. I could not believe the 1 day it is ok for them to wake up early they decided to sleep in. At 10:15 I could not take the waiting any longer. I went upstairs and whispered in lil Jeremy's ear that "Santa Came". He opened his eyes and said "Did he leave me presents". Priceless!

So we headed downstairs and heard lil Jeremy say that Santa left him "Millions" of gifts! He ripped right in to the gifts, shouting "Clippo, A Game, Blocks, oh wait, this one is for you Lizzie" (since it had a girl on the box, lol). He said Santa brought him everything he wanted. His favorite gift by far was the Hulk aka HOG mask. Oh, and the Krabby Patties in the stocking, lol!

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve was so nice this year. We went to Jeremy's moms house for Christmas Eve dinner and gifts. The food was so good, she goes all out every year, Thank you Ann!

The kids looked so cute. You'll have to excuse the crappy pictures of lil Jeremy. He's going through a "Don't take my picture" phase.

We ate dinner and as soon as we were done Jeremy's cell phone rang. He had to go to one of his rentals to fix a pipe. So we had to wait about an hour and a half to open presents. lil Jer was so patient! Mommy was proud!
Grandma spoiled the kids (and us!) like always! lil Jeremy got the Little Tikes Giddyup N' Go Pony! It is so cool.

When we finished up there we came home and got the kids ready for bed, hoping that Santa would come that night little Jeremy fell asleep. Lizzie on the other hand was up until about 12:30. I guess she was too excited to sleep :)!

The start of the Holiday

Well, I have not had any time to update my blog. We've been running crazy for the past 2 weeks. Finally I have a minute to sit down and update this!
It all started on Wednesday 12/23 when we met Mia and Al at Nemacolin's Wildside! This place is awesome! Anyone in this area needs to go there. Lots of fun for kids and adults! They have so much to do, games, a climbing wall, bowling and a big bar with lots of good food! I did take more pictures but my camera sucks and they came out too dark, sorry. Mia, Al, JW and my mom all climbed the wall. I have to say, Mia was the winner for sure!!!

Another month already?

Lizzie turned 7 months on the 12th of the month. I can't believe it, where is the time going? (sniff sniff). She is growing way too fast! She still hasn't gotten any teeth and that hair hasn't grown much, but her personality has and she is just the sweetest thing I could ask for!

Before I know it, I'll be writing about month 8!

Goodbye Gallbladder!

Jeremy (BIG JEREMY) got his gallbladder removed today. 2 weeks ago he made a visit to the ER for what he thought was a "heart attack" and was told that he had gall stones and eventually would need to have his gallbladder removed. So he went to visit the surgeon and they wanted it out asap.

Today was the day. He went in at about 8 this morning and got home at about 4. He's snoring away on the couch now, he's in a lot of pain and not feeling well from all the medicine they gave him. We are all hoping (especially me) that he recovers very soon! I'm not sure I can handle 3 "babies" :).

We braved the cold today and went to sit on Santa's lap and ride the train!
Lil Jer didn't want to see Santa because he didn't want his picture taken. But once we got up there he was either too preoccupied or too scared to throw a fit in front of Santa! I think the picture turned out great!! We hope to get professional photos taken soon. Lil Jer scratched his eyeball, it is really red, so we will wait for it to heal!

6 Month, Already?

Well my little baby is already 6 months old. I can't believe it. Having children really makes me realize how fast life really is. She's just a little princess, so happy (most of the time) and her little smile is to die for. She's sitting up on her own now. I don't let her do it if I'm not right there because she still tips over a lot but she's doing it. Wow, these pictures of her sitting up makes me think she has a big head, lol. Her body just seems so much smaller then her head.

And yesterday she had a yummy cookie for her 6 month birthday. Excuse the red nose, she also has her first cold :(.

Now that she is 6 months old I am putting her in her NEW car seat!!! I am so tired of lugging around that baby carrier, my arm cannot take it anymore. Lets hope this car seat brings her lots of safe and happy travels!

Long time with no update

I guess I don't really have a subject for this blog. Life has been pretty laid back, we haven't done anything too exciting, but there has to be a reason to share some pictures of my 2 favorite kids in the world, right?

And then there is Lizzie. She loves the camera, I know Jeremy did @ this age too, I am hoping she won't grow out of it.

I decided to let Lizzie try out some rice cereal the other night. She gobbled it up! We'll try it a few more times and then start introducing the veggies, etc. I tasted the cereal and I have no idea how anyone could eat it. I feel guilty giving it to her. BLAH!!!

Jeremy's Birthday Bash!

On Saturday we had Jeremy's 3rd birthday party at my mom's house. It was a blast! I think that everyone had a great time. A huge Thank You to Ann (grandma) for making all that wonderful food! and Margaret too! And Thank You to Paulette (gigi) for letting us have the party at her house! You both ROCK!

All of the kids got a pumpkin and stick on decals to decorate them. I think they all had a blast doing it and it was much easier then painting or carving!

So as I was sitting at my desk talking with a customer I left the basket of clothes from the dryer sitting there. I hear little Jeremy say "LOOK MOMMY, I'M A FARMER"

5 Months, Already?

Honestly, has it been 5 months since my princess was born? Where has the time gone? She's still a very happy baby and she's getting so big. It looks like she's definitely going to be a red head, if that hair ever grows!

I asked Jeremy if he likes having a little sister; he said " I LOVE IT!". As you can see, she loves having a big brother!

My baby boy turned 3 yesterday. He woke up saying he didn't want any presents.

Until he opened his "hog hands"...

Then he wanted another present! It was a kid tough digital camera, I am hoping that he'll leave my camera alone now...

Next came the "big" gift. Daddy picked this out, can you tell? This thing is amazing! A must buy if you have a boy ages 3 or older.

Its loud, scary and obnoxious. Lizzie almost jumped out of my arms when she first saw it but now she'd like to get to him to chew on it :). Jer has a blast with it!

We went to The Texas Roadhouse with Pappy for a birthday dinner. They brought out the saddle for a big birthday Yee Haw! Jeremy would only get on it if JW was on it :).

He had a great day. His birthday party is next week, more pictures to come then!

Another sister....another visit!!!

Ami and Kevin came for a visit on Tuesday and left Thursday. We had such a great time. They both loved meeting Lizzie. Lizzie was happy to meet her "Godmother" Jeremy enjoyed the company and extra attention. We were sad to see them go, but can't wait for the big wedding in August!!!

I know it's a little early but Lizzie has so many Halloween Outfits I decided to wear one on her the other day.
I haven't decided on what the kids will be yet for Halloween. Jeremy has gone from wanting to be a ghost, then a bee, now he wants to copy uncle JW and be a skeleton. So I will venture out to try to find the perfect costumes for both kids soon. I'm sure I'll be posting lots of fall/halloween pictures soon! For now, here are a few:

Kimmie came for a visit!

Aunt Kimmie came for a visit. Her first time meeting Lizzie, whom she loved to death! Little Jeremy loved all of the special attention.

Kim and her dog, Rockstar, spent a few nights here. Big Jer took one for the team and agreed to let Rockstar sleep in our house :). Now all I hear from Jeremy is, "Can I have a puppy" Answer is "NO!".

We had a great time w/ Kim and hope she can come back soon to visit. Or hopefully we'll be able to get there!!!

Lizzie's 4 month doctors visit

No picture with this post. I wish I would have snapped one today, she looked too darn cute :).

Lizzie is now 13lbs 15 ounces. Why not just say 14 pounds?? She is 25" long. I was worried b/c I thought she didn't gain enough weight. The doctor assured me she was right on track! I am comparing her to little Jeremy b/c he gained a lot more in between visits when he was her age.

Lizzie also got 2 shots and 1 oral vaccine. She did great, just a yell and a cry for about 1 minute and thats it! She's running a low fever tonight so I gave her some tylenol and she's fast asleep.

I really love our new pediatrician! We switched as soon as Lizzie was born. The entire staff has been nothing but helpful and nice to us! A major difference from the last place we went.

Today we spent the day around the house just hanging out. Jeremy and Jeremy mowed the lawn and then we went to the playground for awhile. It's hard to believe how big little Jeremy is getting. He amazes me every day!

4 Months Old!

Well today Lizzie turns 4 months! Time is really flying by! Before I know it I will be planning her first birthday.

This dress was bought by our cousin Joyce. Lizzie wasn't really in to posing this morning, she was more interested in eating the beads on the dress :) Hopefully I will get some better shots of her later today! Thank you Joyce for such an adorable dress!

Who needs a binkie?

So unlike Jeremy, Lizzie never took a liking to the binkies. She's so pleasant she doesn't even really need one, but it would be nice if she took one in the car :). Then last night after watching her play I realized why would she need a binkie when she has those cute little toes. She gets pretty upset when she has on socks or footed pajama's b/c she can't get to those toes. It's the cutest thing! I don't remember Jeremy ever doing this!

Preschool

Its hard to believe that little Jeremy is already old enough to start preschool. He started last Wednesday and he's gone 3 times already. He absolutley loves it! He'll go throughout the school year on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-12. He loves his teachers and loves making friends. So far since he's started hes been singing his ABC's non stop. He also started singing "knees and toes, knees and toes" the other day :). Yesterday when I picked him up and was thrilled because he got to water the plants.

I cannot wait to see what all he learns this year. My little boy is growing up!

I have several friends who have blogs and I always love to read theirs. I have decided to start my own so I can keep everyone up to date on Jeremy and Lizzie and anything else that is going on in our lives! I'm really excited to figure out how to do this, I hope one day it will be as nice as the other blogs I visit!
